NEW HAVEN — The city man identified as the East Coast Rapist attempted to hang himself in his New Haven jail cell this afternoon, sources said.
Aaron Thomas, 39, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. He is now undergoing a psychiatric examination, sources said.
